Ashley reached out to our team exactly one month out and told us she and her lovely fiancé, Joey, were ready to tie the knot with their family and wanted to do so in style and at a location that honored her late father who took her to visit Georgetown often while growing up. We pulled it together in a record turnaround time with a killer vendor lineup and no detail spared!
We knew immediately that the recently renovated space and elevated service style at the Four Seasons in Georgetown was a match for them and they were sold on it at first glance in our presentation, signing the contract sight unseen! Leaning into the black-and-white edge of the space, we brought in farm-style tables evoke the sense of family togetherness that Ashley and Joey cherish, with a sleek white finish and dramatic tablescape elements from Maison de Carine.
The brides favorite sample during the design exploration process were a set of stunning velvet mauve chairs—selected as a nod to their original vision for a wedding at Christmastime, the couple favorite holiday. After searching high and low, we found a dream collection from White Glove Rentals, who had 30 beautiful seats (their exact guest count!) with the perfect gold rail accent to match the ballroom chandeliers. Halima from The Floral Guru absolutely killed it with the ceremony backdrop, placing their reception pieces on varying mirrored columns. The floral tones brought the entire look together and the matching mauve velvet ribbon that tied the brides bouquet was a truly heartfelt nod.
We created a surprise custom logo for the couple that incorporated their color palette as well as their modern, polished style. The logo was built into the dance floor wrap and custom fabric masks to keep guests safe throughout the event which they took home as a keepsake.
Guests also went home with mini serving boards adorned with their brushstroke names by Laura Hooper Calligraphy, cut in black acrylic to keep with the polished theme of the table settings.
The couples love for vibrant colors and bright, cheerful settings really took off with the custom menu cards by Sugar Taylor Co. made with fresh blooms pressed between clear acrylic and gold grommets, hand-painted with their course descriptions. The final touch were black napkins in a velvet finish, another nod to their original holiday vision.
We showed Ashley a few cake design ideas and she immediately clicked with this 3-tier minimalist-marble beauty that Buttercream Bakeshop knocked out of the park. We dressed it up with slick presentation pieces and eye-catching linen from Nuage Designs Inc. for their gender reveal.
