Romantic Sunset Tones and Eclectic décor at this Restaurant Takeover

AN INSIDE LOOK:

The dream for Sahiba + Nikhil was hosting their "ultimate dinner party" — and boy, did they ever. We evoked major "This is so them!" vibes with their eclectic, colorful, and relaxed reception full of unique seating arrangements and Indian-inspired comfort foods.

A dinner party so perfect can only begin with the sweetest vow exchange. The wedding ceremony was performed in Sanskrit and in accordance with the Vedic scriptures, uniting the bride and groom into one spiritual entity with an ethereal outdoor setting.

Mercy Me was chosen to reflect the contemporary boho, urban-chic vibe they had always wanted as well as the convenience it offered guests inside the hotel and the regulation allowances at a restaurant venue. Through the couples inclusive-style "Bitty Bash" planning package, L+G assembled a dream vendor team and created a colorful lounge takeover in just 4 months.

FLIPPING THE SPACE

HOVER FOR THE BEFORE AND AFTER

“Nikhil and I will have been together for like 8 years in December [of 2020]! Crazy, I know. We got engaged last November and planned a destination wedding in Mexico (full Indian affair with 3-4 days of events). Cancelled due to COVID. Tried to plan a smaller backyard wedding but fear of COVID and having a wedding at home with grandparents living at the home made us afraid. Then we debated civil ceremony only. Now we are here doing it small. We don't want to look back in a few years and wish we did a more traditional wedding since those traditions are important to us. We want something really nice, special, and an expression of us.”

TABLESCAPE DREAMS

The couple holds a special quote closely —

WORDS TO LIVE BY

Mercy Me's beverage program is led by the renowned, Micah Wilder, who created custom his & hers cocktails inspired by their flavor palates. For the bride, a double-shot nitro espresso martini and for the groom, a pepper-spiced apple whiskey sour.

and we took the opportunity to incorporate that cherished sentiment in their welcome sign, a custom sweetheart table backdrop, and Sahiba's bespoke reception gown.

Sahiba began the day in a layered rose gold + ivory ceremony lehenga with hints of opal glimmer. Nikhil added a pop of color with this stunning shade of emerald from head to toe.

The couple went bespoke and ultra contemporary for their reception outfits, having their own personal vogue moment with sweet sentiments sewn inside.

HANDWOVEN DREAMS

GLAMMED UP NEUTRALS

Sahiba wore chura kalire bangles throughout the evening and into the next morning to honor the tradition which holds hopes for prosperity for the bride's new home. They are tied to the bride by her siblings, mother, and loved ones as tokens of good luck and blessings.

One of the prettiest day-of suite's we've worked on... their branding (also known as stationery, papergoods, etc.) — truly shows how the smallest details can have the biggest impact and are essential to making an event your own.

Taking eclectic and playful to a whole new level, we leaned into the acrylic design that Emily Baird created for us by repurposing these functional boxes into a whimsical table number concept.

HIGH RISK, HIGH REWARD

it's all in the details

Our foodie couple had the sweetest New Orleans engagement story so we tied in these Louisiana-style beignets and had the Mercy Me pastry chef dust them in cardamom sugar to blend perfectly into the modern-Indian cuisine.
