Rooftop Soiree with Tuscan Inspiration at The LINE Hotel in Adams Morgan

AN INSIDE LOOK:

Rachel + Armond dreamt of an intimate al fresco setting with rustic Mediterranean inspiration and the warmth of tradition among communal tables accented by the kind of bright & blooming design that would whisk their guests away to a romantic Italian vineyard.

For the color theory of this wedding, we drew on the couples favorite celebratory libation, an Aperol Spritz. Sprinking accents throughout their garden roses, peonies, roses, ranunculus, scabiosa, queen's lace, gomphrena, sweet pea, spirea, and jasmine vine.

To keep the modern, culinary-forward venue in play, we incorporated edison bulbs, black steel trusses, geometric votives, rosemary sprigs, and gilded figs.

The vendor team had just 2 hours to flip this blank slate into a stunning Tuscan villa for our couples Italian getaway dreams...

Our couple completely fell in love with the stunning and one-of-a-kind backdrop of the Monument Suite at The LINE Hotel which gave us the perfect blank palette to play with and guests a true sense-of-place experience.

DAY TO NIGHT

Our couple dreamt of an organic villa setting with rustic greenery and spring pastels. The twist that kept us on our toes? Ensuring that the modern edge and jaw-dropping skyline of their venue didn’t get lost. Enter: edison bulbs, black steel trusses, geometric votives, and a knock-your-socks-off view of the monuments.

Color theory from the couples favorite celebratory cocktail: an Aperol Spritz built the foundation of this floral design. Sweet Root Village whipped up a gathered, organic bouquet, traditionally sized and with a soft, wild shape of blooms, delicate greens and flowing vines.

Armond wore a bespoke tailored tuxedo featuring a crepe dress shirt, black and navy satin jacket, as well as a custom liner with monograms and floral accents. Rachel brought that springtime sultry with a strapless lace and tulle gown in the softest hint of blush.

the softest romance

The couples pup played a big role and a very important guest deserves their own special accent. Rose wore a custom floral dog collar in white, peach, and salmon toned blooms. She joined the girls during prep and stayed to watch her mom + dad exchange vows.

Going down as an all-time favorite detail, these gilded figs served as both the seat markers and personalized guest favors adding the perfect whimsical accent atop the watercolor bistro-inspired custom menu cards.

Rachel + Armond worked with The LINE Hotel to create a custom menu that evoked the best of D.C. dining — which, of course, could not have been complete without the proper victuals. Aperol Spritz all around, and classic Old-Fashioned's for a rich treat.

MAJOR MENU ENVY

WHIMSY + ROMANCE

The couple set up their suite at the hotel with cigars, pizza, Italian desserts, Limoncello shots, and music to keep guests dancing until the break of dawn...

THIS PARTY NEVER ENDS

Ever the gracious hosts, our couple poured a toast to pop off this rooftop celebration of their vows, years in the making. Coupe glasses, spritzed with limoncello and garnished with rosemary, were passed to guests to help toast the newlyweds while they sliced into the abstract-art inspired cake dream.
